In recognition of the current economic challenges and the devastation, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused to businesses, especially MSMEs. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) has instituted palliatives for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria.

The palliatives include:

  1. MSMEs can now process the registration of their products with NAFDAC from the comfort of their homes through NAFDAC’s e-Registration assistance for MSMEs using the Automated Product Administration and Monitoring System (NAPAMS).   2. An 80% discounted registration rate over a period of six months
  3. Zero tariffs for the first 200 micro and small businesses to register on the e-platform. Here’s a link for the TARIFF Extract for MSMEs
  4. Waiver on administrative charges for overdue/late renewal of expired licenses of products for a period of 90 days
